Do all Sins weigh the same
Just like in this world, every crime gives you a different sentence; every sin we commit can give you a different sentence if you’re not saved by Jesus Christ, our savior. Stealing an apple doesn’t weigh the same as killing your neighbor. Just like in this world, stealing an apple might land you months in jail or community service; killing someone would give you a potential life in prison. Hell is a real place, and it’s where all sinners go that aren’t saved by Jesus according to his expectations. So try to live a good life, pray to Jesus every day, get baptized, turn away from sin, and repent so you can make it to Heaven. Brothers and sisters, it should be everyone’s goal in life to live in eternal happiness with Jesus so we can see all our loved ones there.
What is Pride
Pride Is when you feel like your too good for something that can save you like having Jesus in your life, which is shown in James 4:6 But he giveth more grace. Wherefore he saith, God resisted the proud, but giveth grace unto the humble. Pride also started according to Revelation 12:9 Jesus sent Satan back to earth because of his rebellion, this is because he thought he had the right to change the music in heaven and overstepped his boundaries. His description can be found in Ezekiel 28-13 to 28-19 and one third of Jesus angels was sent to earth with him.
What is Lust
An example of lust is when Judah had sex with his daughter in law Genesis 38:16 And he turned unto her by the way, and said, Go to, I pray thee, let me come in unto thee; (for he knew not that she was his daughter in law). Lust Is when you sexually want something so bad it burns as a deep passion inside of you. Lust can be adultery, which is sleeping with someone’s spouse. 1 Corinthians 6-18 Flee fornication, Every sin that a man doeth is without the body; but he that committeth fornication sinneth against his own body. Fornication is having pre-marital sex with any partner is definitely a sin. Lust can also be purposely watching pornography, looking at another person’s body sexually for a period of time. Lust can be one of the most common sins in today’s age with the different types of tv shows, movies, pictures and social media. It’s important to turn away from lust and notice when your doing it because its a sin.
What is Greed
An example of Greed is when Jesus saw merchants selling goods at the temple on Matthew 21:12 And Jesus went into the temple of God, and cast out all of them that sold and bought in the temple, and overthrew the tables of the moneychangers, and the seats of them that sold doves. Another example of Greed is Luke 16:19 to Luke 16:25 The rich man and Lazarus, where the poor man went to Heaven and the rich man that gave nothing in life when to hell. Greed is when you want something and don’t need it in your life. An example of Greed is being wasteful and never feeling satisfied with what you have. Having average money trying to be a millionaire instead of chasing Jesus can be a sin because we are suppose to put him first in our lives. We should put him first in our lives so he can put us as a priority in his life. Greed is also putting yourself above others like not giving to the poor when you’re really able to and taking care of your fellow brother and sister Jews.
What is Envy
An example of Envy is when the first murder was recorded in Genesis 4:8 And Cain talked with Abel his brother: and it came to pass, when they were in the field, that Cain rose up against Abel his brother, and slew him. Another example of Envy is when King Saul saw that King David had the lords favor in 1 Samual 18:9 And Saul eyed David from that day and forward. Envy Is when you can’t stand to see someone have a nice life whether it be a promotion, nice car, house and job. Envy can lead to lying, gossiping, stealing, adultery, fornication and murder. Envy can be seen as a secondary sin because it leads to other sins if the person isn’t careful enough to correct themselves. I want you to know Envy can kill if you’re not careful because it can make you do things out of the ordinary.
What is Gluttony
Even though Gluttony is one of the least talked about sins in the bible, it’s still a sin. Overindulgence can be a sin with eating, drinking, and drugs while never feeling satisfied. It’s best to stay in shape so you can live a long, prosperous life so can fulfill your purpose on earth. Overeating to the point you throw up or overdrinking alcohol to the point of being drunk can be a sin. It’s best to avoid it at all costs so you don’t have to answer for it when it’s time to talk to Jesus. You don’t want him saying to you remember that time when you got drunk and drove home as an example.
What is Wrath
Wrath is when a person is so angry they want to hurt others around them. A example of Wrath is when King Herod tried to kill Jesus when he was born, Mathew 2:16 Then Herod, When he saw that he was mocked of the wise men, was exceeding wroth, and sent forth, and slew all the children that were in Bethlehem, and in all the coasts thereof, from two years old and under, according to the time which he had diligently enquired of the wise men. Another example of Wrath is when King Herod beheaded John the Baptist the man who baptized Jesus. Matthew 14:10 And he sent, and beheaded John in the prison. Wrath can lead to one of the biggest sins in the bible which is murder.
